General Question..., has anyone gotten their P.C.V. checked out at the dealer and or replaced and if so how much was the labor. Is this something which anyone can check or can it only be changed professionally? My dealer CLAIMED a labor fee of over $200 bux for this and I just want to check this equipment and change or upgrade my air filter to a CAI. any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. thank you

I thought the PCV valve was covered under the emissions warranty. As for the fee to check it, I think thats a bit steep for a part that costs under $10 to replace.

The Toyota part number is: B2040-135071

I'm curious what makes you think you should have it checked out?
According to this link from the 2004 Scion warranty, the PCV valve/orifice is covered under warranty for 24 months.

Some parts are covered for 80 months.
