i dont know that i would like the looks of a topless tC, but it would be an interesting mod to see a Carson Top made of carbon fiber. remove it at shows and set it next to the car, do a CF hood and hatch. like i said, not my choice for a daily driver, but an original mod all the same. no one does Carson Tops anymore. its a shame.

edit : for anyone wondering, the carson top was popular with street rodders in the 50's. in appearance it was a convertible top, in reality it was a removable hard top.

i'd like to see one on the xB. that xvertible thing looks hideous. looks like a cross between this :

yeah, while i may have interesting ideas from time to time, it would take a level of fabrication that is far beyond my capabilities. and, with a carson top, there would be no button to push to drop the top, it would have to be removed by hand and set down. as far as a power retracting convertible, it could be done, but it would take a lot of time, and a lot of money.

i know the guys in socal who could do it, but their fabricating skills are not cheap, and they are usually very very busy with projects. i dont know what to tell you, that kind of custom work is usually only for people with real deep pockets, or real deep connections. hell, usually both.
