Is there a way to check your codes by getting them to display on the odometer? I have heard of this before, something like turn the key to ACC three times and on the third leave it there.

Not on OBDII vehicles. Before '96 in OBDI times on some cars you could do the magic key/door/whatever combo and get your CEL blink the codes for you, but I haven't seen it on OBDII cars. So don't get your hopes up.

I could do the turn to AC three times and leave it on at the third turn on my old 92 dodge ram.... which helps you none.

I'm curious too, the scion chat wasnt working right when i tried a minute ago, that might be a good place to ask.... ???
