I didn't know what you guys were talking about when I read about the charcoal filter in the airbox until today when i opened it up and looked at the underside of the top half. I started the engine and gave it some rev's, sounds really REALLY nice to hear the engine growl like that, it really sounds like its got even some power. Put that filter back in the box and close it up and it's tame again. My question is: I noticed when i was reving it and watching the charcoal filter, it would suction really hard when you gave it gas, obviously it's not just a small obstacle in terms of airflow. Is there a way to remove it/is it even worth it? Does it serve any purpose besides the evap system and meeting emitions? I can imagine now how much better an aftermarket intake would flow without all that restriction.
