Alright guys please don’t kill me if this is a re-post....

I want to paint my center console flat black, I think it will look cool.... any feedback....

And also,

Does anyone know what kit goes best for the radio? Is it a double or single? I bought both and they suck, I also even bought the "scion" kit... and that sucked even more... *sigh*

check out this thread for some pics of Alpman's interior. he didnt go black, but the product he uses is sweet. great finish, very scratch resistant, looks like OEM finish when applied right. the mfg is SEM.

I have a normal head unit and I tried to place it in but the double was too wide and the single left a gap....

that set up is CLEAN!!! I knew there was another thread somewhere I just didnt search enough I guess.. sorry for the re-post...

on stereo -
the gap is usually closed on an aftermarket set-up with a black plate, so it appears to mount flush. your local shop should have one, or be able to put it in for you. and, done right, your door will still close.

I went with a Single DIN HU in mine now too. You need to get a Dash Kit - the gap is now closed on mine. It was way open before... ugly

I got the dash kit, I tried both double and single dins... and still came up retarded looking...

I got any IE'ers back too... well and any other Scion-er or just tc-er Im rambling huh

The one i bought from 6th Ave electronics was a pain to put in. I had to cut off a whole bunch of tabs because it was the kit for the xA, xB, and tC and they're all different. I finally got how to do it, though. EddNog was a big help.
