Well I said I would go to the dyno and make a comparison between the Creative Compacts cat-back stainless steel exhaust w/ high-flow cat... and here it is. I took the car to DynoLab in Atlanta, GA.

Here is the original dyno...

Run 1: 70.68F, 29.74 in-Hg, 49% Humidity
Run 2: 72.62F, 29.74 in-Hg, 47% Humidity

Run 1: 134.94HP, 145.95 Torque, 108.28MPH
Run 2: 137.12HP, 147.79 Torque, 108.07MPH

Here are the new results...

(no image as I don't have a scanner, will post it up along with images of the exhaust installed tomorrow when I'm at work)

Best: 140.3HP, 152.4 Torque, 108MPH

All pulls were done in 4th gear.

I must now raise the flag on Creative Compacts supposed 12HP gain

Interesting. Thanks for taking the time to get the information!
No problem... do keep in mind that there is a 15% and 20F delta between the two runs. So I would expect a few more horses max, but not nearly an additional 8HP that they advertised.

lance, you wanna chime in on this?

For those that love math, PV=nrT is the formula you would use. P and r would be constant, and you know T. You can solve from there

Just a heads up, I'm not flaming Creative Compacts... they could improve their interaction with customers (or the complete lack thereof, took a while to get in touch with them
) but other than that, no gripes. They are a good company and I'd buy from them again if they had anything I was interested in... unfortunately they don't

Not much to say here. The factory did a great job. My sig says it all.

The best way to get in touch with creative compacts is by contacting James on AIM (user name CreativeCompacts). He's usually on in the afternoon.

It'd be great if somebody would benchmark one of those CAI's too

Until you figure in that those gains might even be close to the amount of +/- error tolerance of the dyno process itself. It's not uncommon to see small variances in results on dyno runs with same car with no changes being made.

Thanks for sharing your results Obike. Very interesting.

My Supra varied from 320 to 330 at the wheels across three runs on the same day in a 15 minute time span. Why do I not trust inertial dynos????

um, cause they dont provide the accuracy you require for solid data?

Close but the real answer is a little known fact that inertial dynos cheat on their partners. Lance, being an honest man, just can't seem to trust them on this basis.
