so the chassis and the powertrain is based on the Avensis. I was wondering what that car looked like. I found it and thought I would share.

thought so. The car actually looks alright. I was noticing a few of the other toyotas that we dont get here. some of them are rather interesting both in the good and bad way.
it looks kind of volkswagenish. it's classy.
the celica t has HIDs. nice. but those concept cars look like something out of I, Robot or minority report.

i honestly don't see the resemblence
iRobot's Audi Concept car was plain fugly, IMO.

^^^ no bad mouthing the avensis. its what gives us our 5 of 5 crash test rating. good platform.
but ours looks better, no doubt.

Avensis comes with a maximum of 145hp 2.0L gas engine and it does not look like the transmission is the same. The only thing that's very similar is weight - 2950lbs

Although my spine will tell you a different story....
It's incredible just how ugly the front end of the Avensis truly is. The hump in the middle of the hood for the Toyota logo is wretched.
