Never underestimate higher displacement.
never overestimate the performance gains from an intake and exhaust.

that V6 camry is pushing 210HP.

Amen.

A BMW X5 pushing full overdrive on an automatic pulled on me today rather well. I had just shifted into 4th, running all the way through 4th he pulled and pulled.

^^^ umm yea what snoop dogg said. no it wont make you faster. your gears are still the same weather you shift it, or it shifts for you. that has to be the most retarded thing people do. plus your engine, wont go, but your tranny will.....

Maybe I'm dumb, but how do you "shift" in an AT? I know in a lot of AT cars there's "L" and "1" and "2", but I've always thought those were just for if you're starting on a steep hill or on ice or something.

the only thing shifting the auto does for you is allow you to make sure you stay in that gear until you decide its time to change. and that isnt much. save the wear and tear, hold your foot down on the skinny pedal.

You would have won if you had a manual. Also, they don't offer SC in the auto.
