Anyone else has this...?

I've noticed that after I shut the car off the car makes this "ticking" noise.. its like "tick tick tickkk" almost sounds like something is popping.. like a pop corn, but more high pitched..

i've noticed this sound from other cars after the car has been shut off.. can anyone explain to me what that noise is? Is it ok with the car or am I doing something wrong..

I thought maybe I'm not properly warming up the car, my morning commute to work is less then 5 minutes sometimes.. but I properly warm my car up.. make sure that the temperature goes up before I leave the drive way..

I'm just a little concerned, and wondering if anyone knew what I'm talking about??

yea that happens in the tC and in my moms minivan. its been discussed before, i dont think its anything to worry about.
I wanted to search, but I didn't know what to look up.. ticking?? so I guess its a normal car thing?
it is the metal contracting... its normal
yeah its the metal cooling off however do not warm up your car it is not natural for the car so it is best to wait maybe 10 seconds to let the oil circulate and then take off but nothing more than that...that has been discussed before and in all cars it is just bet to get in it and go and let it do its own thing warming up and not letting it sit
Yeah it's normal. Mine has been doing it since day one. (Owned it 2 months now)
Happens on all cars
It's the exhaust cooling. They all do it if it's hot enough. Usually you need a decent load to generate enough heat.
does it mean i'm pushing it too hard?? by me putting anything to the car make it stop? if its normal its normal, but I'd rather not hear that getting out the car..
It's normal. End of story.
haha ok, thank you come again~
good thing i read this post before winter came
