Has anyone who had an intake installed have any problem with the piping that goes into the wheel well rubbing against the upper wall or against this bracket pictured here causing it to occasionally make a slight rattle sound at idle or when the car is started?

i dont have an intake on mine, but arnt you missing a bolt that holds the intake down to the car? it looks like it in the pic? i had a similer problem with my celica bc the bolt wasnt very tight holding the bracket to the car, i also used a rubber washer to help it.
Holy gigantic pictures, Batman!
Check this post from SL.com. I'm getting my Injen CAI intake soon, and it discusses rubbing and various things people have done to correct the issue.

Injen includes a rubber outlining for metal fender where the cold-air pipe goes in. you can also buy some weather stripping from home depot or something to protect from rubbing.

^^ yes!!!

home depot tuning > your face, just ask uberingram...
Hahaha yeah sorry for the huge pics...But no it isn't missing a bolt/screw for mounting. That little bracket with the hole was used for the stock piece. The bracket it came with had a rubber washer. So I did resolve this problem for now at least it seems. I got that rubber door guard stuff that helps people who don't know how to park away from other peoples cars without smashing in their doors. Put that on the upper edge of the fender where it seemed to be causing the biggest problem. Then even secured it further with a couple thick patches of velcro on both the upper fender and the stupid bracket. Now its nice snug and sturdy and even protected...Best part is...NO MORE RATTLING!!! Thanks to Wally World! Lol!
