I am in the process of running my wiring for the amp/sub that I have. I took some time to figure out where I could drill and get the power for the amp without going through something I did not want to.
I decided on through the firewall near the brake booster. It was tough as the long drill bits that I was using kept "walking" and scratched the hell out of the finish in there. It will be hidden but now maybe I should paint the scratched areas to prevent corrosion. The hole is in an ok spot that should be easily hidden under the insulation and carpeting.

My question is where is your power routed? Please post pics if you have it documented.

Thanks

A link to my install in progress is near the last of the pics here... http://smckenzie.smugmug.com/gallery/932200

Do you think there will be any problem with running the power cable so close to that harness down the drivers side? Is there a rear speaker wire running down that? Maybe some hum?

I completed my install. Pics start on page 7 and go on from there. Here is a link if you want to check them out. Shows how the dash comes apart for anyone that has not pulled it off yet.

Sounds good...Adds just the right amount of low end to have clear bass.
My setup is pretty inexpensive as well.

I will add coments to the pictures when I get a little more time. I read where a dude was ganked by Best Buy and they drilled in the brake booster. That sucks. I spent quite a bit of time figuring out where to drill and I went from the engine bay to the interior. Scary thing to do but worked out ok. Take lots of measurments. The engine bay pics are from farther away then a little closer and so on...so you can get an idea of the location. Inside pics are tough and I need to take some time to get some that are in focus. Need to use the macro setting but tough when under there and holding that insulation out of the way...that stuff is pretty tough.
