I ran mine through the side of the firewall behind the glove box so I would not have to drill through anything...I just put a hole through the grommet and my 0 gauge fits right through

I run mine there as well, if you search, I will posting some pics of my complete install soon. There is no problem running it there, i actually have new speaker wire run there too, no noise or anything. I used the grommet on the drivers side that you can see if you lay on your back and look next to the steering column. I cut a small hole and ran it there.
Do you think you could fit zero gauge through the driver side hole? I am running zero for my setup and I want to know if it is going to fit or is the passenger side grommet my best bet?

yeah I have a yellow top optima and my local shop said it should be plenty... I will not be using 4000 watts by any means but more around the 1500 watt range... 1300 for woofers and the rest for components and 3 ways.

all RMS too!

The reason for 0 gauge is because also of the length that I have to run the power cable...for how long I have to run it 4 gauge would be cutting it pretty close for my setup so I decided to not take a chance and go 0 gauge

another thing too...if I am going to the drive in here in a couple of days with my new system...I wanted to know if I turn the bass down will it still drain my battery considerably? I do not want to have to start my car every 30 minutes to keep the battery charged....or from what I am gathering watts are watts and wether I use them or not...blah blah blah

I also have a capacitor so would that help any?
