I know this sounds crazy guys, but sometimes i find it hard to put my shifter in first...i have been doing fine with it for 1500 miles and now I don't know what's going on. It's hard to shift it into first sometimes and I wind up shifting into 3rd and my car stalls out...I'll keep try to shift it into 1st and it doesnt feel like it *clicks* into 1st and I think I am in 3rd. I am freaking out and thinking that my shifter/tranny is messed up or something. Has anyone else felt this problem. I am almost freaked out to drive it right now because I think I am messing it up. Please tell me I'm crazy...i know that I am in 3rd because when I shift down I'm in 4th. I am really confused. PLease tell me that it is user error. Thanx for any replies on this guys...

Yeah...it just feels like 1st is hard to get into sometimes...at a complete stop...u think that I should get it checked out at the dealer??

yeah...i got the clutch pressed down all the way, but I appreciate any input you guys got for me...i am just wondering if i'm the stupid one or if there is something wrong with my car.

Yeah, that's exactly what i'm talking about...at a dead stop at a light and i have a hard time shifting into 1st and then i think i got it into first until i start moving and then i know i'm not in 1st i'm in 3rd...wth...i don't know what's going on, but i am sure glad to see that someone else noticed that as well...i just dropped it off at the dealership this morning to have them figure out the what the heck is up with the shifter or tranny or whatever it is...i'll give you all an update when i get the verdict.

I just got a call from the dealership and there is something wrong in the gear box that's not allowing me to shift into 1st sometimes...so if anyone else if having this problem..GET IT LOOKED AT! so you don't have any further problems...and again i just joined this site last week and you guys are great...i love this site...you guys are helping me so much already i am glad to be part of the site/forum. Thanx guys.

P.S. And the dealership said "You are not crazy...there's a problem here.." so I guess i can relax now.
