you know what, sometimes I notice the same thing....even if I'm stopped at a light or something, and I have to shift into first, it feels like I have to force it in, but then through the other gears it shifts really smoothly....I did scare the crap outta byself b/c when I was shifting into reverse while slightly moving forwards (anticipating stopping and moving backwards), the tranny made the weirdest noise and didn't let me shift into reverse. And then other times it's smooth as butter.....I have a little over 4K miles on my car, so I'm sure it's not the break in factor. Wonder what it is....

hmm... thanks for the tip Ken, I'm gonna try a different way of shifting, see if that helps out.
