I have read some post that say the dealership can set the alarm to be audible? If that is true can someone explain it to me in a little so I can ask the dealership or try myself. Thanks

Scion Security comes with an owner information card. The procedure is on that card. It's interesting the gyrations you have to go through.

That is interesting. I have Scion Security and never received this card you speak of.

I'm readin the Scion Security Owner's Manual right now, and I'm not seeing it. Did I not get the information card either?
Yep, you're right. I was thinking of the passive arming feature. It says no noise unless your car is equipped with a buzzer...not mine.
So now it's just a matter of finding out where to attach said buzzer-- I'd just like something audible. As I've seen someone else mention before, in bright sunlight, it's tough to tell that the thing has armed. I'm sure I've left the car unlocked on more than one occasion.
Yeah, no card here either, just a nifty sticker on my window

I was on the train for San Francisco last Thursday morning, and realized just as we were pulling out of the station that I'd forgotten to lock the car. We passed by the parking lot, and I could see the car about 50 yard away. I hit the arm button and saw the lights flash...I was really happy it wasn't my Supra, it doesn't have any range at all.
The stock keyless entry doesn't have an audible sound... Scion Security does but you have to set it... I can't remember how exactly to do it.
Nah, I was wrong. The programming is just for passive arming. No sound.
the chirping sound is good for me. until, i come home to my REALLY quite neighbourhood and lock her up. then the sound is more like CHIRP CHIRP but, I am used to the sounds from my previous car; So, i take that as a neccessary evil.
