i have been reading something on the internet, that if u want to install the air/fuel guage, it won't work because of the o2 sensor on the tc. has anyone install an air/fuel guage to their tc? did it work or not?

Check out the New Car Features book on page EG-41. It describes the A/F sensor in the tC, and shows a comparison with a standard narrowband O2 sensor. The most important feature is this:

The air fuel sensor outputs a voltage that is approximately proportionate to the existing air fuel ratio by converting the oxygen density to the voltage.
As a result, the detection precision of the air fuel ratio have been improved.
The sensor is neither a conventional wideband, nor is it a conventional narrowband. It is unique, but likely to become the new standard in a/f sensing for Toyco since it is cheap and qualifies the engine for ULEV specifications.
