Adjusting Clutch Cable

So after a very long drive from Maine to Connecticut in heavy traffic I have decided I am annoyed with where my clutch engages on my car. The pedal is approximately an inch and a half from the floor when it is engaged and I can shift. This leaves a lot of room for unnecessary pedal movement and when I start getting tired I start giving gas when the clutch hasn't disengaged.

Long story short - is there any way to adjust our clutch cable so we can change the engagement position inside of the car? I would rather have my clutch engage either with a slight movement of my left foot or even right next to the floor instead of in the middle like it is. I know people have used clutch stops to solve this problem but I was just wondering if there is an alternate (cheap) solution. Thanks!!!

It's not a cable, it's hydraulic. There is no adjustment. It is possible to change the pedal height, but that won't solve the problem.

I haven't seen a new car without a hydraulic clutch in more than 25 years.
I'm a little confused Lance... I have a buddy with a '96 Mustang GT and he had bought a Steeda Clutch Adjuster kit that lets him change the clutch pedal height and engagement point. (http://www.mustangtuning.com/noname3.html) Is this do-able with the tC? Or is a kit like this even effective?

Thanks!
Ah well, never mind... just did some quick research on hydraulic clutches and now I understand. You think I would learn and do some reading first off. Thanks for the direction!
