ok heres the deal, im pretty sure i made up my mind on just boosting my Tc. im pushing 90k miles here in a couple weeks and i know its best to do a rebuild. as far as the engine goes i havnt had an issue with it at all except i got an oil leak on my timing cover seal.

ive done a fair share of researching and what people are mainly saying is

"Main things to swap are bearings, piston rings and all the gaskets and seals."

is that it?

well here is the list of misc. things im thinking about getting just verifying it with the community.

Wait, so you just putting in more stock components? Why spend money opening up the motor, only to put in more stock components?

That's kinda what I was thinking, but I didn't wanna be a downer. Lol.

If you are not ready to do a full build with better parts, and just really, really want to boost it now, I would say boost it and keep the boost low and tune it well, then pick yourself up a salvage motor and start building it up. Then swap motors out and start pushing it more. But you still risk getting a little too addicted, turning up the boost and scrapping your current motor in the meantime. Best to just do the build now and do it right with stronger internals.

i see your guys point. but doesnt OEM parts hold up decent? im not trying to make my car a power house. just somewhere between 300-330 hp.

im not trying to be "cheap" but im not trying to go all out either.

and as far as OEM parts. i thought the seals and gaskets hold up good.

is there a certain brand you would recommend to go with?
