Ugh, I posted in the wrong forum. Betcha I catch hell for it.

Anyhow, anyone know where I can find a 5 speed shift gate, so you can visually see what gear you're in, kinda like Ferrari/Lambo? I've been on serveral sites and found nothing.

After reading it several times, yes, it does. But the purpose of my "gated" idea look is to mimic that of the Ferrari - so you can visually see where you need to put your shifter for the next gear. I dont know, I think that it would look pretty freakin' sweet... if you were able to modify the boot so you're not scraping the shifter on the gated plate. If that makes sense.

Hmm. My friends dad owns a tool shop and I'm wondering if I were to explain this idea to him, if he'd be interested in helping out. I bet if it was machined precisely, it could work.
