Even though the stock head unit is called a double din, a single din radio seems to take up a little more than half of the space. I was wondering if i could fit an alpine cd player and a rectractable monitor in the stock opening. The only half din monitor I have seen costs about $700 and my only other option would be mounting a monitor on the dash. This is for an xbox btw.

I've seen xB's with two single din units in them....i don't see why it wouldn't work....You'd have to fabricate them in though...

Double DIN means just that. Two single DIN chassis would fit no problem. As far as clearance for a flip up monitor, that is another concern entirely.

buy the setup that they sell for the xA and xB. you should be able to fit ur flip out screen and a din unit in there
