i have an 06 and i've had the car for about 3 months now.. no rattles what so ever.. sometime the seat belt hits the side but besides that.. i'm fine..
06 tC - rattles or just complaints?
Over on another scion board (big one remains nameless for now) i find that all they do is complain and complain about the rattles, but I come here and I hardly ever hear of it..
Is it just me or did we at this board fix all of our problems? I know that I used foam tape in different places, tried a little silicone spray, etc.. and no more rattles.. I like that this forum doesn't complain endlessly and rant, we actually fix the problems.. insted of ranting..
So my question is this.. To those with the 06 tC, have you noticed rattles? If so, were you able to fix them? and what did you do?
Friend of mine wants to get one and mine is quiet.. But I'm not sure if they changed production and there are more rattles now.. so let me know.. thanks..

I'm going to get an 06 and i heard that was one thing they fixed, can anyone confirm that?

I had my 06 for a few month now. I only hear a slight rattle sometimes, but my radio takes care of that.
Lance found that the hatch rattles were caused by poor welds in the hatch...can't fix that with tape.
well we dont complain about rattles on this forum site because there are the nice people like Plissken....SEARCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I have an 06 and there's a rattle near the rear right door but it's not too bad. Still getting it looked at when I get tint though.

Apparently there are more than one reason that the hatch rattles as some people's have been fixed by the TSB. I think my car is super special.
There was a thread at scionlife talking about the welds as well, so it isn't just your car.
My rattles:
Hatch
moonroof (not as bad as some other tC's I've been in)
radio cover
glove box
Something in the dash. I can hear the rattle through the driver's side air vent.

Ya I just got my Tc a week ago and have already noticed a rattle in my rear hatch and in my sunroof. Probably gonna take it in when I have time. I hate getting the run around from the dealer so I am just putting it off.
i have an 06 and the only rattles i've had were dumb stuff like cargo cover wasn't snapped down all the way and the sun roof covers slap in the wind with the window open kind sounded like a rattle nothing serious
yea.. i think most of the 06 have been fixed and the rattle everyone is talkin about on their 06 is probably different rattle from the Majority rattle..
I have an o6 tc and the only ratteling i have heard was the liscence plate. i just installed a system and the ratteling was killing me so i got a peice of weather stripping and a little dynomat and it was fixed.. i guess if there is any thing else i cant hear it over the bass

I've had my '06 for about 3 weeks now and I do have a hatch rattle. Seems to come from the passenger side. It's nothing major and it doesn't do it all the time. I also think I noticed a sunroof rattle lat week when it was 6 degrees outside. I am blaming that on the fact that it was 6 degrees, because I haven't noticed it all besides that day.
For the car and the money, I'm not going to complain about a few rattles here and there, unless it's coming from the motor!! This car is awesome and I am very proud to own one!

Nothing for me.. except a radio door squeak. Not even really noticeable when I have my music on.
