Just got my sub installed today at my local dealer and it doesnt look like it fits that good. For those of you that have this option, how is the fitment? The pic on scion.com makes it look like fitments is perfect. I have about a 1" gap between the box and the inside of the trunk (at the end closest to the taillights, and it fits good towards the front of the car). I think it should be pushed up against the side to make it flush but when i push on it, it doesnt move. Any input? Dealer says all of the installs they have done for the tc bazooka tube look like this...

I'll be taking my car back next wednesday cause the idiot mech they had do the work put 2 huge scratches in my 6 day old dash. they are replacing it for free and since im going back, i'll make them fix the sub if indeed it is supposed to be mounted flush with no gap.

Let me know what you guys/gals think.

Thanks! its been a long time in the waiting... As for buying from Ken, I should have. Ive done several stereo installs and this one should have been super simple but I got cought up in the moment when i ordered my car and thought that for an extra couple of dollars a month i'd just finance the sub and not have to worry about install, etc. Oh well. Im sure they will make it right...

Update: 10-3-05

I took it apart this weekend. tightened the connections at the speaker (as they fell off when i removed the speaker... jeez) and modified the connection points of the box and after messing with it for about 10-15 minutes i was able to make fitment look excellent. I actually left about an inch of space at the bottom of the sub box so i can remove my liner to get to my spare... I am super pleased with my work

and I think the dealer blows... whats new.
