Do you think the next tC should be equiped with the dual injected DOHC 2.5 V6 engine from the Lexus IS 250?

I will like your thoughts on this.

i think toyota is making enough money for the small compact car with good fuel efficiency that they will keep the engine the way it is( unless they announced something that im not aware about). if they will make any changes, it will probably with the exterior design first. looking at the economy, and watching how car company are tackling their loses, that its unwise to make huge changes on the car. i think they will approach this newer tc with the exterior design strategy like what any other car company would do.

thats my opinion without searching

The tC market's going to plummet significantly when the new Hachi Roku comes out. Unless Toyota finally decides to actually do something to improve the tC, which they probably won't.

I suspect the new 'tC', or whatever they call it, will track the RS 5.0. More standard equip. and a greatly changed profile (dropped). Goodbye to the 16g entry level. A Subie awd is a good bet also. Subaru and Scion have been sleeping with each other for months.

no, i think the tC needs to be discontinued. its death has been delayed long enough.

At the rate that most tC owners crash their cars, the tC will become probably become rare in a year or two after the tC is discontinued But back on topic, I don't think the V6 from the 250 would be worth the trouble swapping into the tC. The boxer engine going into the new Hachi Roku on the other hand...
