i don't own 2. Technically I don't even own one of them. Technically both are my dad's. My RS 5 was a gift because I'm on a free ride for college for 2.5yrs at least. My dad just bought the 05 tC when it first came out because he loved it so much. anyhow back on topic. swirls are evident in mostly the sunlight. the car had swirls when i dropped it off. and now it has more. I've used the same products and the same style of washing same precautions and everything. idk it trumps me. ill use a new sponge and (again clean never used microfiber cloths [although once a year i do wash them to reuse them]). if it scratches more, then ill take it back. there are some swirls that are noticeable on the new hood that i didn't recognize before.
albers, you can wash new paint, you just can't use any harsh products like bug and tar remover; and stuff like clay kits and what not i would stay away from until winter. when the fall semester ends, ill give the car a great detailing. you bet ill be creating a new thread for it!
it's just very frustrating. looking for tips i suppose on how to wash the car and NOT accumulate more swirls. makes me sad and irks me to death!
and once or twice i year i spend like 9hrs in a day, and give Lola (my RS5 the love she really needs)
