Motor: MIld/TRD CAI

Header: Stock

Cat: 2nd cat removed due to Megan Racing midpipe.

Exhaust: Invidia S-pipe, Megan Racing midpipe with magnaflow 30" resonator added in replacement of 2nd resonator, TRD Axle-back.

Overview: Im very happy with the performance as well as the sound gains. Noticible performance over stock and the sound has a nice deep rasp free tone. Only problem was when i first got the megan midpipe and put that on it was way to loud and a little raspy. It would drown out my sterio and even made if difficult to talk to people in the passenger seat. I just choped off the 2nd resonator in the midpipe and welded on a 30" magnaflow resonator. Problem fixed.

Header: OBX Header, 4-1 1 piece, bought from a friend

Catalytic: Stock

Catback/Axleback: Magnaflow (sounds nice)

Muffler tip: Straight cut, 4" diameter

WAG3S05tC's setup:

Engine: AEM Short Ram Intake

Header: Megan

Catalytic: None

Muffler
: Agency power cat back

Overview: Very loud. I noticed a nice jump in power after putting the full exhaust in. I am a lot quicker from 40 and up. There is a rattle at about 3000 rpms, it gets old but I still don't know if it is exhaust noise or the pipes hitting something.

The noise is most likely the midpipe hitting the brace about midway down the car underneath the pipe. Take it off and see if it stops.

NeXuS's exhaust setup

Motor level: Mild with Injen Intake and NGK Iridium IX spark plugs.

Header: Stock

Catalytic: None eliminated by the Tsudo Midpipe

Catback/Axleback: TRD Axleback Exhaust with a Tsudo Midpipe making it a catback.

Muffler: TRD Axleback pruchased for $100 used.

Muffler tip: Slant Oval 4"

Overview: This setup yields in a very loud and deep tone sounds really good. And still looks OEM because of the TRD Exhaust, no exhaust drone when youre doing highway speeds. You can hear it a bit on the freeway, but it wont bother you. You get no rasp at all, although it is a bit loud when your starting to accelerate. Injen Intake affects the sound too, the TRD exhaust sound really different when I just had the axleback.

Houghtons exhaust set up...

Motor: trd cai w/ bypass valve

Header: tsudo 4-2-1 w/ tsudo s pipe

Cat: none

Muffler: 2.5" dezod stainless piping w/ 2 24" glasspacks and a magnaflow muffler.

Overview: Started out with dezod exhaust an hated the rasp. Had one cherrybomb glasspack welded in and it didn't take care of all of it. Switched to the magnaflow muffler and added another cherrybomb glasspack. Sounds deep, loud, and awsome! I reccomend going custom for optimum sound quality.

Nickifer's Setup:

Motor: Injen Short Ram

Header: Stock OEM

Cat: Stock OEM

Axelback: TRD used for $14o with big dent.

Overview: Great on startup. Deep gurgle all the way to 2K rpms. Slow starts are the best to draw out the growl. Some humming past 3,500 RPMs when doing 75 mph on highway.

Jay L GO's set up

Motor level: TRD supercharged @9.5psi.

Header: Megan Racing 4-1 with Megan racing S pipe.

Catalytic: test pipe, $75 installed @ Superior Muffler and Bay rental.

Catback/Axleback: catback, ARK Speedracing, ARK DT-S $600.00.

Muffler: part of the catback.

Muffler tip: part of catback.


Overview: Also have the Fidanza flywheel installed which helps putting hp to the ground a little better. Right now I am street tuned with UNICHIP, and haven't had the time to dyno because I had an surgery and still recouping from it. I do not have the dyno sheet for the test pipe either but I will post hopefully next week when I go to the dyno.

Car exhaust sound now with no cats.
