Let it be known, ALL are welcome to join, so please, if you can make it, let us know in this thread that you will be joining us.
The time has come upon us, those of us that have known of this drive have been waiting and planning for well over a year for this event. Engifineer and myself have both been planning for this drive for some time now, speaking of it every now and then, to those of you that didn't know yet. I spoke of the drive quit often, inviting whoever is interested and lives in the area. I am now ready to open this topic up to the general public, and open for discussion. At this point, I am projecting my leave to be the last half of June, and the 21st is the set in stone date for this drive.
I have shortened the path from the original by a total of 2 hours and 37 minutes and a total of 120 miles from the original route, giving us a total time of 4 hours 5 minutes nonstop and 159 miles. I do however, expect stops, for pictures and merrymaking of all kinds. The new route will still have us meet in Hudson, WI. We will still be using the Great River Road. The path has been shortened to Wabasha, MN, as the Southern most point of the drive. I still expect great times to be had by all that attend. If I forgot something, please let me know and I'll add it to the thread or edit into this post.
Now it's time for the map.
The list of confirmed participants at the moment.

The original map that I had made is still in my Flickr account; we will, unfortunately, not be using the entire length of the original route. The original path had us going from Hudson, Wisconsin, all the way down to French Island, LaCrosse, Wisconsin. We would cross between WI and MN a few times before reaching French Island. The plan was to eat at French Island and then drive back to Hudson, using the opposite side of the river that we drove there. That path, without stops, would have been 280 miles, and taken 6 hours 42 minutes. Again though, we will not be going all the way down to French Island.

haha. Ok. That works for me. Is there any way to mount that inside the car? Like it matters, I may just go the route you took and just slap that baby on the sunroof. I was looking at the headrest mount actually. I kind of want to buy that...

Slide back the cover for the sunroof, stick to sunroof. It'll be upside-down so you will have to do some post-processing to invert it. Other than that works like a charm.
There's a video of The Cleat being used on an Apache helicopter flying over Iraq. Pretty cool stuff.

Hahaha. Using Dave to fab up some extra joints. I'm sure he'd do it for a price. Definately cheaper FTW though. The offer to borrow it is still on the table right?

YEA! I'll be calling you up in a little over an hour, hour and a half. After we start driving.
Got the tail lights, VRD fogs, TBL, and the car ICE'd, right before it rained... So she's a bit dirty. Still have to pack everything up too. Look forward to pictures and video after the drive people!

Yeah, I lost your number somehow.. so I will wait on your call.. cooking up some breakfast right now to shake off the beer from last night (chops on the grill, 6% bavarian dark beer, small bonfire in the back yard FTMFW!) and I will be ready to go. Going to stick the directions in the Garmin as well.

Drive was frickin awesome. Perfect weather, and some of the best driving around these parts. I will post some pics up soon. Im sure that I dont have as many as the others, since I was flying solo today, so not too many pics of the driving parts on my end.
Thanks for coming out man, it was a blast. Tell the others I said hey as well.

ha! Damn. Good pics Dave. I didn't even know you were taking pictures while we were driving. Thanks for coming out, myself and the others had alot of fun.
We took alot of pictures and some video. I forgot my transfer cable for my SR7, so that won't be uploaded until I go back to Africa on the 28th. So it will be around next week some time when I get it uploaded and posted.
Time for pics.
Our first stop.
Second stop.
Third stop.
Fourth stop. Leaving that area. Got an action shot of everyone going to their respective spots.
This is how dirty our cars got at the end of the trip. Millions of insect citizens died on this trip.
I've got more, but you'll have to wait for it later. In a hurry.

And there shall be no smoking during lockage!!
Hahaha. Yea man, your liscense plate was a target. That thing was pretty much just scatters of black, white, and yellow with the occasional bug. I have to get a GPS for next year though. That was pretty embarassing on my part.
