Good idea. Good place to put updates/pics on everyones seasons as well. I am waiting impatiently for May 2 & 3 for our first two events, we always have the first two at the Valley Fair parking lot south of the twin cities. Huge lot, so that course is usually pretty spread out. Fun place to run for sure. Last year in May, there were constant winds of 40mph and gusts well over 50, so hopefully it is a bit nicer this year! It was even blowing the cones over, shaking the timing lights around enough to cause false trips, etc.

Engi My new ideas after todays event. Soon to be on order Endlinks, Camber bolts for the front for +/- 2 degrees camber adjustability, H&R race springs, and TRD struts.

Well the auto-x with so much power, terrible springs and a crushed right index finger (had to drive with one hand, yes it sucked) also my first time it went ok i guess. I now know what the week points are of my suspension and plan on buying some new parts for that. Tires Tires Tires one of the main problem with the setup. I had asked a guy with a Subaru Impreza 2.5RS that was running the neo gens how they were griping. He replied that he felt some sliding but it wasnt to bad. Right than I knew they are going to suck for me since he is AWD and N/A and had them sliding on him.
The springs were def the major downfall of my setup S-Techs SUCK for any kind of racing period. The spring rates suck they are merely for looks that is it. They were to soft and cause the car to bounce to much. The Sway's and strut bar def helped out alot but could not defeat those damn S-Tech bounce. So I am going to try and order some new springs, camber bolts and endlinks immediately to get ready for the events on April 6th. Than after looking to buy some new struts and 17x8 wheels with tires 245/40/17 Nitto NT-01 takes me out of street tire class but who cares I need them.

If you are all against domestics, all against imports all against honda, toyota, etc, you are not a car enthusiast, you are a brand loyal "tuner" :) I prefer to be an enthusiast and enjoy many types of cars.

Learning every day about springs and spring rates. Threw discussion and research I have figured out why the S-Techs are the suxor. The spring rate is very very high, Reasoning behind it is because it is such and extreme drop it has to be other wise it would be bottoming out all the time. So by Tein making the spring have such a high spring rate it causes them to bounce under extreme load in hard turn ins. Thus compressing the struts to the bottom (reason why I hear clunking now) and transferring everything threw the chassis of the car causing tremendous understeer in low speed corners.
This is just one of a couple things that I learned about my car driving it threw the harsh low speed corners of the Auto-x course yesterday.
