I came across this on another forum. I'm so jelous. This car is absolutely stunning. You know you're a baller when you can buy a 722 SLR. This guy has went above and WAY beyond that, by MODIFYING his 722 SLR....... ad;slkfj;ie

I've been a HUGE fan of the SLR since it's conception. This is easily the sickest looking ride in the world IMO.

Yea, you could say I have a new background.

There's a difference between Matte Black and flat black. VERY few cars can pull off either though. To me, flat black on a car is for someone who couldn't afford to do it right, which is Matte Black.

But I totally agree, I'd do it.

They're going to have to make YET ANOTHER BATMAN MOVIE, just for this car.

The owner posts over on E46Fanatics, but that's not where I got the pictures from.

I think it has something to do with track numbers or some sort of time for something. I can't remember off hand. I'll search for it real quick.

Found it. Here's the link I got my info from. Mercedes SLR 722

QUOTE
Mercedes has unveiled a new special edition SLR called the "722 Edition." The car has increased output of 650 horsepower, a tailor-made suspension configuration, and a decidedly sporty interior. 722 Edition is a homage by Mercedes-Benz to the unforgettable victory won by the British racing legend Stirling Moss and his co-driver Denis Jenkinson in a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR with the starting number 722 (indicating a start time of 7:22 a.m.) at the Mille Miglia in 1955. The car accelerates from 0-62 mph in 3.6 seconds, and 124 mph is reached in just 10.2 seconds. The max speed is 209 mph.

Has a TON more pics of the classic silver. Those rims, are stock. DHill, That is is funny. They copied our rims yo!

a good friend of mine sells customized Mercedeses.

Basically, you tell him what you want from the car, he designs it and has mercedes to build it.

Why am i saying that? Because he had recently "built" and sold a mercedes sedan that was pushing something around 650HP given the weight about 300 punds heavier then the 06 SLR...

Car costed humongous money. Was paid cash.

Himself and I went to see the buyer in the hospital last weekend. Why? He floored his newly bought car, and dislocated his 3rd vertebrae.. FYI it is the one that is holding your neck. Resume : Very powerful - ain't always Very good.

(he did not tune his seat properly, supposedly that caused the damage)

I wouldn't mind being behind the wheel of that.

I have to agree that it does look like a Bruce Wayne car. Hah. Maybe James Bond, too?

I think it's a bit over the top with those gills and the snout is just a tad long but I like how sleek it is and the overall shape. One thing though is that the car definitely looks like a rich person's car. I can't say the same about current G35 which looks like a high end Nissan coupe. The Altima coupe looks even more pedestrian to me, just to show my biases.

I normally dislike the matte black look on high end cars (I feel like it should only be on race cars or something) but it does look pretty classy-racy here, which is a tough look to pull. For such a high end car though... I'd rather have a perfect gloss.
