Just curious if this lit up anyone else's radar like the Trinity test. And, it would likely be cross-shopped with whatever Scion replaces the tC with.
It looks similar to a 3/5ths-scale V8 Vantage; IMHO a very shapely bit of automotive art.
Turbo four, RWD... A 10-year-dead market segment might see new life because of -- Hyundai? Color me impressed. More so because Toyota can't get their head around the business case for a 21st century AE86, nor Mazda for a production Kabura/MX-3, nor Nissan for an S16. Hell, nobody wants to build an affordable, lightweight, RWD 2+2! What gives? Pricing is pure specualtion at this point BTW, but there's talk of <$20k, so I ran with it.

I really like how it looks on the outside. Not too sure about the interior. I'd definitely consider it!

Same car?
Sorta. Once these spy pics surfaced I went poring through Hyundai concepts from the last few years. I usually follow the various motor show debuts closely (well, from the comfort of my home, natch), but had forgotten all about the HCD-8, which debuted at NAIAS '04.
Fortunately, it looks like they slimmed the thing down and sophisticated some of the weird radical curves and bulbous flanks. The more I think about it, the way it's left unattended in some nondescript shipyard where two auto spy photogs just happen to stumble upon it, find it unlocked, and take only half a dozen pictures is suspiciously and improbably serendipitous. Might this be an example of new age guerilla marketing? Not that I'm complaining.
BTW, I kinda like the front quarter panel vents on the Tibby.

If you are all against domestics, all against imports all against honda, toyota, etc, you are not a car enthusiast, you are a brand loyal "tuner" :) I prefer to be an enthusiast and enjoy many types of cars.

I've always thought the tiburon looked pretty good, its just a piece of turd right now tho. Hyundai is actually pretty decent in my opinion, they're on their way up. Too bad its still a hyundai.

yeah, it would be similar to drivin an srt 4 i think...people would respect your speed, but still say its a hyundai....still very interesting tho...this could force other companies to step up to compete if it does happen...
