I'm looking for some help, and I've searched dozens of pages on various forums and cannot figure out my problem. This started probably a few months ago. Driver's side started not working, passenger side shortly after. When I locked and unlocked, I could hear the motors working but they wouldn't do more than just make noise. Recently, my driver's side started working again. Went out to the garage to check the passenger side, and had no result, even after unplugging the locks - and now when I press the lock button on my keyfob AND inside, nothing happens. I'm at a loss with this car as far as power locks. Has anyone had a similar issue?

My buddy has a Scion that I am attempting to help him fix. I am at a standstill. The car was running fine and the only issue was that once it would heat up, it would not want to crank. This seemed like a simple issue and we replaced the starter. After this, the issue got progressively worse to the point that once the car was driving and warmed up, it would randomly loose all electrical and shutoff and then turn back on, jerking pretty bad. Then it would be very hard to start back up if it ended up stalling. Would have to keep trying to turn the key and it would eventually randomly turn over. Now it will not crank at all. Could somebody please help point me in the right direction as I am familiar with GM vehicles. I need to know where all the grounds are so I can check them and if there are any known electrical areas that are prone to corrosion, etc. We have also replaced the starter relay. Thank you.

My engine has blown due to lack of oil (don't ask). I have a very reputable garage that says they can either replace engine or do a crank kit(?).
Mine is a 2007 model with 155,000 miles. Owned since new.

What would you do, repair it, replace the engine, or sell it and take the
chance of getting someone else's P.O.S. I can only afford about a $6,000
car, someone offered me $2,500 as is right now for the TC.

What would you do? Repair, replace, or sell and take a chance?

I have 2012 scion tc and just for kicks and giggles i was on progressive.com and wanted to see insurance rates for other cars. Progressive quoted me (choice coverage) $1100 dollars for six months on a 2012 scion tc. I inputed the same info for my friends car (a 2008 bmw 335i coupe) and it came out to $985. How can this be? That 335i has 300 horsepower, turbo engine. Compared to a scion tc how can this be less? I know scion tc's can be expensive to insure because of the age group that generally drives them, but i'm just baffled.
