Well I just checked the oil a few minutes ago and the levels are fine (they should be after 3-4 days). I use 5w-20 in my engine all the time here in NY because the winters here are slowly leaving us (In the past 10 years we have had 3 x-mas days with no snow, and about 20" of less snowfall overall). I'll report back come next change with the (possible) level issue.
I have some new ideas for the car as well design wise, but I'll have to post those up a little later. |

Compared to the last few years, in upstate NY we have been getting less and less snow every year. Two years in a row we had no snow on xmas and about 10 days of powder overall. I'm just used to being able to carve tunnels back when I was 10, now we're lucky to need a plow do get out of the driveway.
Anyways, I'm getting close to needing new tires for my car (front 2 are really low on tread, 1 rear leaks about 6-7 lbs every 2 weeks but is almost new, and the other rear is pretty new still just a little less then the other rear tire). I'm not in the position to buy new wheels and tires, and I'm trying to get all the money I can for new tires. Not to mention the LP tires I have on now throw my speedo off about 4.9xx%. So at 60 I'm really going ~55/6 with 17s. I'm open to ideas... |

I have been thinking about saving for an air kit recently. Height AND ride control, for ~700 more. Now I think I'm just indecisive and can't really figure it out, like I would if I had the cash and time to install it. Thoughts?

So recently drive to help my grandma out a few days ago and her driveway was sooo drift covered from wind and snow, so after I got out of the car I realized I had the bottom half of my number packed full of snow, pictures up soon (hopefully). Thought it was cool, for a stock height... Anyone have any idea for mods, I'm getting bored with drawing new ideas for my car (like a sexy galaxy paint theme I photo shopped in Forza) and need something else to do while I wait for school.

Update/story time:
So last night we got a foot of snow and I realized I had zero food. Then I realized the 20 minute drive to the store would take forever, so I started to clean off my car and let it warm up, come to spend 5 minutes trying to get out of the parking space then driving an hour+ to get to the store. Fast forward a bit, so I get into town and half way up the hill, I slowly come to a stop with my wheels spinning, then after nearly being plowed into by the state plows twice I tried to keep going, slower and slower as I move. Third try from the bottom I decided to say f#!? it and drop in third gear and just spin up the hill, it worked, and left me with 10%ish tread left on my crappy summer tires (which sucked anyways). Fast forward again, I go out today to run an errand and check the tread again and I saw lines where they were spinning across the ice and it looks like they were driven over a long razor blade. So tomorrow I'm going to get 4 all season tires, WOOT! If I don't get them tomorrow I will NOT drive my car until I get new ones, if I tap the brakes on dry pavement I slide. Scary sh!t guys, especially in a town where 96% of the traffic are semi trucks. Pics coming soon. |

I almost have died, twice lol. I'm waiting for 4 all season tires from Dunn to arrive Monday and get them installed. Finally my speedometer will read correctly...yay. I guess I'm gonna have to take baby steps to work on this car, bleh. So Candle, did you ever get that switch working?
Oh and in a couple months just before school I should be getting a chunk of cash for helping some people out and will be ordering some parts I was thinking about Raceland coils as they will never be tracked and after school I'm going to be ASE certified and have a friend who owns a shop that I can use as my proof for Raceland's warranty. Also might get some led tails, opinions anyone?

Got new tires! Finally got my new tires mounted and put on my car. The summer tires I had were forcing me to drive at least 10 under the speed limit even on clean roads, and I still slid a bit. They really do make me want my 18s sooner though. Pics coming soon of the new sidewall, as well as the old tires.
On another topic, recently when I shift above 4k rpm my brake indicator under my gauges comes on for a second. And my pedals have been feeling soft lately but I checked my reservoir and it's half full. Any ideas? |
