Well, I'm having trouble with the tire pressure monitor. The light keeps coming on, even after I reset the system (glovebox button) with cold tires. It will stay off for a couple days, but within 72 hours it always returns. I gave up on turning it off, so it just sits on my dash all the time. Pressure is 40psi all around so there's definitely no way the tires are low. Does anyone have suggestions before I waste a few hours at the dealership?
I'm not sure this is the cause, but I seem to have noticed it twice after using cruise control. Could just be a coincidence though. |

Are you resetting the system, or just pushing the button whenever the light comes on?
To reset the system: --Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. If the low tire pressure warning light comes on, push and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch (in the glove box) until the warning light turns off and then release the switch. --Now press and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch until the low tire pressure warning light blinks three times. Note: initialization is *not* completed until driving at a speed of 19 mph or over for more than one hour. The tire pressure monitoring starts when initialization is completed. |

there's also the possibility that the pressure is TOO high.
32/29 as recommended... and re-initialize as Doc mentioned. (hold until it blinks 3 times)
