2012 RS 7.0 RCA output question.

I was wondering where the outputs were located. my manual doesn't tell me much of anything. and maybe a link to a headunit removal diagram of some type.. also my head unit PT546-00120 says there is a SUB-W setting in the manual but is not present on the unit itself? any help will be very appreciated.

im a tad confused about it as well i want to install my subs and my radio has that setting avail to play with

Really? my manual says it's there but all i get on the unit itself is SSP/Audio Control/Bluetooth etc. etc. no SUB-W option I guess because it doesn't have a Sub built in?

Guys..read..they are all equipped the same. They all have pre-outs for subs in the stock head unit, and in order to have it give signal use the menu when the head unit is off.

Geez I did read your whole Add/Install post. but didn't view the replies I see now. I'll go try it. thanks for the reply I searched everywhere for posts regarding RCA outputs and setup. but you gave me what I was looking for. I'm a new tC Owner as of 10/10/11. the HU buttons are slightly different than the 2011 model you posted so I wasn't sure if they changed it or the dealer have me a Pioneer Audio Manual for a different HU model but I'm all set. thanks man, Very much appreciated.

the R.S has a different deck. i think it is the only one with the blue tooth streaming audio. which is by far my fav feature

Yeah man, I used that the first night I got it. it was awesome never had anything like that work so easily. only thing is, I have the iPhone 4 and blue tooth eats my battery like crazy but that's probably way they have the handy, built-in power outlet for car chargers of any kind. haha

i was confused at first when i used it i thought they had a cd in ahhahah. then i realized it was music from my iPhone. i have the 4 my battery is good just got the 4s it'll be here tomorrow tho can't wait.

I try to install a Scion Pioneer base headunit T1819 (PT546-00120) into my Toyota Hilux Pickup. What I need is the pinout of the 28pin connector for steering wheel controls, AUX IN, MIC IN and speed signal in. I think SCION uses an adapter harness (PT546-00120-CH) to convert the 28pin connector to the standard 20pin and 8pin microphone connector. I allready have the pinout for the 20pin connector, the 8pin connector (not 100% sure) and the connectors to made my own wiring harness.

Can you publish (or send me) some photos of the adapter harness so I can figure out the wiring? Or can you draw a schematic or table with the pinouts?

T1819 radio connectors:
10pin connector:
1 -> front right +
2 -> front left +
3 -> ACC ignition +12V
4 -> battery +12V
5 -> front right -
6 -> front left -
7 -> ground
8 -> (antenna amplifier + output) now on antenna connector, you have to splice in here
9 -> amplifier control + output
10 -> illumination + input

6pin connector:
1 -> rear right +
2 -> rear left +
3 -> rear right -
4 -> telefone mute input, connect to ground to mute radio
5 -> illumination - input, connect to ground if not connected to rheostat (instument illumination dimmer)
6 -> rear left -

12pin connector CD changer, SAT, ...:
1 -> audio signal shield (ground) for pin2+3+4+5
2 -> audio R+ in
3 -> audio R- in
4 -> audio L+ in
5 -> audio L- in
6 -> mute in
7 -> ground
8 -> not used, unknown
9 -> AVC-LAN TX+
10 -> AVC-LAN TX-
11 -> ACC ignition +12V (I think it is an output, not 100% sure)
12 -> battery +12V (I think it is an output, not 100% sure)

USB connector:
-> on T1814 and T1815 it is a JAE MX39004NQ1 connector (USB type A receptacle style)
-> you have to use a Toyota factory cable assembly or solder an USB cable directly on the connector pins
-> on T1819, I think it is a JAE MX39006NQ1 (not sure) connector (USB type B plug style)
-> factory cable will not fit, use PT546-00120-US or solder an USB cable directly on the connector pins, don't have another Toyota part number

Antenna connector:
-> new style (similar to FAKRA connectors), dual antenna input, antenna amplifier + output (splice in 10pin connector pin8 or use adapter harness PT546-00120-AD)

28pin connector, replaces 20pin + 8pin connector on T1819:

Vehicle harness connectors:
20pin steering wheel controls, speed signal, AUX IN connector:
1 -> not used
2 -> not used
3 -> SPD, speed signal in
