Thumbs down

I was driving on the freeway today and noticed my maintenance reqd light coming on. I recently had an exhaust and CAI installed and was wondering if these 2 can be the problem.....Im planning to take it to the dealership tomorrow and have them check it out. I had my oil changed last month so I don't believe that's the problem. How much would it cost for them to do a diagnostic check?? Any feedback is much appreciated

That is nothing. Hold down your odometer button turn your key to acc. You will seea bunch of hash marks on the odometer screen. they will blink each time there wil be one less. then when they are all gone a bunch of zeros will come up and knowthe light is out.

The reason it came on is because youhit 5,000 miles and the people that changed your oil did noreset it. It is just a oil change reminder that conts your milage it doesnt mean ####.

It gets reset and trips every 5,000 miles. Just reset it. The check engine light a complete different light.

^^ exactly,

the maint req'd light is ONLY indicating an oil change....other lights are for actual problems

If he gets his oil changed before 4500 miles, and at the dealership, then that is why he hasn't seen the light yet. It blinks at 4500 miles and then stays on at 5000 miles, I just bet that the dealership forgot to reset it.
